Transmediavision presents: The Climate Restorers Film 4: Ecosystem Restoration
Ecosystem Restoration is the fourth film in the Skagit-made, globally broadcast series The Climate Restorers series. It takes you on a journey from the American Dust Bowl to China's Loess Plateau and to the fertile Skagit and California Central Valleys.
Nature is still the only real game in town when it comes to removing carbon from the atmosphere. But we are still overloading her, and now events are overtaking us.
We meet with some of the people working hard to support nature, in what seems an impossible task. From the small scale of the soils under our feet and the ancient and new methods to repair them, to the global scale of ecosystem restoration and regenerative farming.
The changes we need to make in society to restore the climate are complex, but needed to avert our trajectory of a risky, unstable future. It’s an "everything, everywhere, all at once" moment. But repairing the ecosystem damage we've done, and protecting remaining swathes of nature, is the critical first step.
A panel discussion regarding climate and land use will follow the film.
